The Scripture:

Matthew 28:1-6

In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

Our thoughts:

Easter is a truly wonderful time of the year. We have so much fun coloring eggs with our children. We give them baskets and watch in delight as they open them. We have our Easter egg hunts and family picnics. These are wonderful things and I am in no way saying the we should not do them. The one thing that I do believe is that we should not forget what Easter really is! The celebration of the resurrection of Jesus. Remember God loved us so much that He sent Jesus to die for us. Three days later he arose from the tomb where he was laid. He is now in Heaven with the Father. Because of God's love we have a chance to be in Heaven with him someday!

Our prayer for you:

Dear Heavenly father, Thank you for your love and mercy. Thank you for all of your many blessings you have bestowed upon us. I pray that you will help us to remember you and your Son all throughout this month. Please forgive us of any wrong doings and help us to walk the path of love that you have laid out for each of us. Help us to continue to show your love to others. Help is to see each other in the way would have us to. Let us not be judgmental or feel as if we are better than anyone else. Help us to remember that Jesus died and rose again for every one of us. Help us to always keep our minds and thoughts on what is good, true, and pure. Let us be able to be a blessing to someone who reads our page. Let them see that you do love them. Help them to realize that no matter what they have done or how hopeless a situation is, You are their source of hope! We pray that they turn to you. Help us to realize that you know what is best for us even though we may think we do. Help us to accept the answers you give us to our prayers. As always let us say as Jesus did, Not our will but your will be done in every situation. We love you and thank you for your love. Amen.
