The Scripture:

Matthew 28:1-6

In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

Our thoughts:

The month of April starts out with the first day of the month being "April fools day." This is a day where people pull pranks or practical jokes on others. Although this can be a lot of fun we must also remember others feelings! Please remember that we don't want to do the kind of jokes that are harmfull or will really scare others!

We also need to remember what else happens on the 12th of this month! Yes, this is Easter Sunday. The day we celebrate the resurection of Jesus. Please remember that Jesus didn't just die for you but he is arose, is alive and living in Heaven. Also remeber that he promised to return again and to bring us all to be with him! This is great news so lets tell other, rejoice, and be happy this month!

Our prayer for you:

Lord, thank you for your love. Thank you for the gift of your son. Please help us to remember what you have done for us. As we celebrate Easter help us to be thankfull for all of our blessings. Help us to tell others about the resurection of our savior Jesus! Forgive us of our sins and help us to live for you. Amen.
